Show Your Talent

Show Your Talent is a platform connecting professionals, companies, and schools in the audiovisual sector.

Professionals can populate their profiles with their creative work, share it on the platform, and apply directly to companies.

Companies can showcase their brand, post job openings, and manage applications.

Schools can create alumni groups and promote their certified training programs.

Technical Stack

For this first professional project as a developer (please be lenient), the Symfony framework was chosen because PHP and Symfony were central to my initial backend developer training at Wild Code School, and my mentor at the time was also trained in this language.

On the frontend, given my background was primarily in PHP backend development, we decided to use Twig alongside a few standalone React components served via JavaScript.

With the benefit of hindsight, had I been able to do things differently, I would have opted for a React-based frontend using Vite or Next.js, tools I have since mastered, thereby avoiding the need to cobble together script files just to serve dynamic content.

This project also allowed me to hone my CSS skills, even though we used Bootstrap to speed up the initial interface development.

For file hosting, we decided to go with S3 storage via AWS (though the setup could have been adapted for other S3-compatible providers).
